Roll-over accident required extraction equipment

Terlingua Fire and EMS sent multiple units along with collaboration from Alpine Rescue 1 at approximately 7 p.m. to a single vehicle roll-over accident on South Hwy 118 Friday night. The driver of the vehicle was trapped and had to be extricated from the vehicle. One patient was transported by Big Bend National Park Medic 1 to the hospital in stable condition, while the other victim was transported in critical condition by TFEMSAmbulance 5. No air medical assets were available due to the high winds.

Texas farmers are voicing growing concerns about tariffs being enacted by President Trump adversely affecting their ability to sell agricultural goods overseas, the Houston Chronicle reported. Texas Farm Bureau President Russell Boening said the tariffs could be especially tough on younger farmers.

Rare Mammoth tusk discovered at West Texas ranch

Although he was searching for deer, a hunter at the O2 Ranch (a privately owned ranch in Brewster and Presidio counties) found something very different and a little puzzling. Could it be a mammoth tusk? In West Texas? “I was skeptical when a deer hunter showed me a picture of what he thought was a fossil,” says O2 Ranch Manager Will Juett.
