Debbie McIvor of Fort Davis, right, showed the reserve champion Hereford steer at the recent Southwestern Exposition and Fat Stock Show in Fort Worth. Debbie’s first place junior calf, named Festus, weighed 1,040 pounds and was bred by J.W. Espy near Fort Davis. At left is Dr. Herman Purdy of University Park, Pa., show judge, and in center is Pam Mimms, Texas Hereford Queen.
