The Alpine ISD Board of Trustees held its regular meeting last Wednesday evening to conduct business, select an interim Chief Financial Officer, and discuss the 2024-2025 audit. After Board President Eddie Natera called the meeting to order, the board heard from leaders at Alpine High School (AHS).

The Alpine High School Fightin’ Bucks varsity basketball team kicked off its 2025-26 season with a statement performance before a home crowd on Monday, November 17, demolishing Midland Texas Leadership Charter Academy 86-28 in a nondistrict matchup. The Alpine Fightin’ Bucks varsity football team closed out their 2025-2026 season on Friday, November 14, with a tough 75–20 loss to the Coahoma Bulldogs in the Bi-District round of the playoffs.
