Alpine ISD, in collaboration with other community organizations and businesses have garnered grants for a new proposed childcare center. This new, and muchneeded childcare center is set to open in Alpine this summer. Alpine ISD will be receiving $500,000 in grant funding for this purpose. The grants from the Texas Workforce Commission and Workforce Solutions Borderplex will help launch the center with up to 50 new childcare spots for children aged six weeks through three years.
