Lady Buck Volleyball Oct. 13 Monahans vs Alpine V @ 5 p.m.

Alpine’s JV football team hosted the Crane Golden Cranes on Thursday, October 3, in what proved to be a challenging contest for the Fightin’ Bucks. Despite a strong effort in the second half, the Bucks could not overcome Crane’s early lead, ultimately falling 34-8. Though the game ended in a loss, Alpine showed grit and determination, giving givthe their fans plenty to be proud of as they refused to back down, particularly in the latter stages.

The Alpine ISD Board of Trustees held its regular meeting on Wednesday, September 18, at 5:30 p.m. at the AISD administration building. Single Member District 2 representative Joe Portillo and Single Member District 3 representative Nikki Ahrens were absent.

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is releasing the final recovery plan for three endangered aquatic invertebrate species that inhabit springs within desert wetlands of the Chihuahuan Desert of West Texas: the Diamond tryonia, Gonzales tryonia, and Pecos amphipod—collectively referred to as Diamond Y Invertebrates.
