he Trappings of Texas exhibit and sale at the Museum of the Big Bend in Alpine celebrates the work of Western artists and gear makers. It is the longest-running event of its kind in the country. For 39 years, the Museum of the Big Bend has been honored to showcase works of art created by the men and women who live and embody the cowboy lifestyle in Trappings of Texas. Once again, artists along with art connoisseurs will gather for this celebration in the newest addition to the Museum of the Big Bend, the Emmett and Miriam McCoy Building.
