“Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30) And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:20) For he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” (Hebrews 13:5) There’s nowhere in the Bible where it says that God will not give you more than you can handle. So, does God give us more than we can handle. Yes, he does, and you only have to go to the Bible for examples. Jeremiah was a prophet prior to the Babylonian captivity. He warned the people to repent, but they didn’t listen. Instead, they beat him. They plotted against him. Even his own family rejected him. Emotionally, that was far more than he could handle.
