Can’t keep a good team down

Body
Earlier this spring, the Terlingua CSD was devastated by a structure fire that took out their band hall and their robotics lab one week before regional robotics competition. As devastating as it was, the Terlingua 11720-Purobots were able to re-build their robot for competition.
Members of the Terlingua CSD 11720-Purobots are seniors: Ethan Ramirez and Giselle Hernandez, juniors: Laila Salido, Severino Alday Franco, Jen Orozco, and Romina Rodriguez, and sophomores: Brooke Jenks, Luna Barrett, Rigo Guevara and Evan Clark for their second-place win at the state UIL robotics competition. The Purobots are coached by Mr. Brad Anthenat. Courtesy photo

Calling all photographers

Are you interested in having your photo on the cover of our Annual Big Bend Welcome Guide? This full color magazine offers visitors and newcomers a glimpse of the Davis Mountain- Trans Pecos region. Our contest is free and open to anyone. Participants are asked to capture the communities of the region or the surrounding flora and fauna in a personal, reflective way to reveal the personality of the Big Bend region through their eyes. The region itself has a rich history, a variety of architectural and natural landmarks and scenic views of all types and sizes. Through the artist’s own lens and outlook, the Big Bend region’s persona will bloom with high-quality, inspired, and surprising imagery.
