Head Coach, Sul Ross State University Rodeo Team The Sul Ross State University rodeo team had four Scholar All-Americans named for the 2021-2022 season. This is the equivalent of Academic All-Americans in other sports in the NCAA, and a huge achievement to be included on this list.

The Fightin’ Bucks took on the Fort Stockton Panthers on Sept. 2 in Alpine. Despite trying to hang on to the football in the pouring rain, the Bucks played a very tough and physical game against Fort Stockton.

After two weeks off, the Lady Bucks tried to shake off the cobwebs by taking on a surging Compass Academy in Odessa. The Cougars are currently ranked in the top 20 in Texas 3A volleyball. The first three sets were very competitive. Both teams fought hard, but Compass led two sets to one.
