Illegals apprehended

On March 14 Brewster County deputies, U.S. Border Patrol Agents, and Department of Public Safety Air Operations responded to remote southeastern Brewster County in response to a large group of suspicious persons trespassing on private property. After several hours of tracking, 14 illegal aliens from Mexico were apprehended. The suspects were referred to Border Patrol agents for processing and deportation. Courtesy photo

Alpine Humane Society Pet of the Week is Lil Roo, a white Shepherd mix. Lil Roo is a very energetic pup who, even though she looks like an adult dog, is very much still a puppy. Her previous owner described her as loveable and sweet. Roo enjoys treats, and likes to give kisses.
