Eduardo Jaquez Molinar, Jr., 85, passed away to transcend this age, and join those who preceded him to heaven.
He is survived by a lifetime of love and affection by Josefina Luna Hernandez, who gave him the late Jaime Luna Hernandez, and is survived by a daughter, Irma Lindley Griffith, married to Don Griffith. They make their home in Haltom City, Texas.
His grandchildren are Jaime Garcia, Joaquina Marie Cobos, Veronica Ann Cobos Sullivan, and Riate Jane Lindley.
He was the last survivor among his brothers Vicente J. Molinar, Juan J. Molinar, Francisco Jaquez Molinar, Jesus Molinar ,and Armando Molinar. He had a surviving sister, Concha Molinar. Seven other sisters who were ready to meet him in heaven were Rosa Chacon, Elvira Molinar, Mary Ann Josephine Terrazas, Carolina Jaquez Molinar, Elisa Molinar, Aurora Molinar, and Guadalupe Molinar.
He had numerous nephews and nieces, including Debra Valles who was the closest to him.
He was born on Oct. 31, 1934 in Brewster County, Alpine, Texas, and attended Centennial School. He had worked at Sul Ross State University for a number of years.
His funeral, mass, and rosary were held on Jan. 17, 2020 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Alpine, and burial was at Holy Angels Cemetery in Alpine.
His kind and caring attitude was known by many, and his peaceful, tranquil demeanor was noted by all.
