Body
On Jan. 28 in U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas, Pecos Division, Devon Portillo was charged with lying to FBI special agents, a felony.
The charges stemmed from a fake text message that was under investigation in June 2020. Portillo told agents he didn’t create the fake text message, but in fact he did.
In Portillo’s brief initial appearance before the court, he heard the charges, and bond was granted.
He will appear in court again at a future date.
