Three died and one person was injured in a crash on U.S. Highway 90 about two miles west of Alpine on Monday.
At 10:48 a.m. on Dec. 28, a 2013 Cadillac SUV driven by Alma Gloria Wilson, 54, of Odessa was traveling west on Hwy. 90, following another vehicle. Wilson pulled out to pass the vehicle ahead in a no passing zone.
The Cadillac collided with an eastbound 2003 Ford F-150 pickup truck driven by Roberto Taveraz-Roman, 79, of Big Lake.
Both drivers were killed, along with Ludivina Taverez, 72, of Big Lake, a passenger in the Ford. Margarita Hortencia Tinoco, 46, of Odessa, a passenger in the Cadillac, received incapacitating injuries, and was transported to Medical Center Hospital in Odessa. No update on her condition was available at press time.
All were wearing seatbelts.
