Sul Ross rodeo continues to make history

The 1st Annual Sul Ross Pecos College Rodeo is complete, with the final performance having wrapped up Saturday, April 11. As the “home team,” Sul Ross had a contestant in each event during Saturday night’s short go, except the barrel racing and the bull riding.

Bucks varsity baseball rallies late

The Alpine Fightin’ Bucks had to dig deep Friday night, April 10, weathering early trouble, late pressure, and extra innings before finally putting Presidio away for an 8-5 road victory that kept them planted firmly atop the district standings. It was the kind of game that tested every phase, pitching, defense, and timely hitting, and by the end of eight innings, Alpine had answered every challenge.

Glen Allen Pepper

It is with a heavy heart that the family of Glen Allen Pepper announces his passing on April 5 in San Antonio following a long illness. Known to all as simply “Pepper” he was born February 22, 1940, to Claude Allen “C.A” Pepper Jr., and Katherine Louise “Katie Lou” Feldtman, in San Antonio.
