The City of Alpine held its regular city council meeting on April 2, and City Manager Jessica Garza provided an update on accomplishments and plans for the remainder of the year, and $1.1 million street budget approved for this fiscal year.

Council, Ward 5, Rick Stephens asked about the status of street maintenance, and Garza said 220 tons of material had been ordered to fill potholes. She indicated that for street maintenance, the city has used 46 percent of the budget, but only nine percent out of the capital improvement line.
