Gaming club a success

Posted: Thursday, October 31, 2019 7:00 am

Alpine High School just debuted a new competitive gaming team on campus, and adviser Vaughn Grisham is eager to take the club to new heights. Grisham, who also teaches yearbook, graphic design, and photography at the high school, said Alpine High is the only school in West Texas to offer a gaming club.

Thanks to the idea initially brought up last year by sophomore Kadence Lundeby, the Gaming Bucks is now an official team in the exciting world of electronic sports via the high school E-sports League, featuring teams from across the U.S. and Canada.
