Anna Badkhen, veteran war journalist, is no stranger to giving up the comforts of home and embedding herself in foreign and challenging environments. Her latest book, “Walking With Abel”, is a poetic and moving chronicle of her latest sojourn where she plants herself with a family of Fulani cowboys in Mali.

The Fulani are the largest group of surviving nomads on the planet, and Anna walks with them on their annual migration with their cattle across the West African Sahel. Blending the Fulani’s ancient past and uncertain future with bits of her own inner landscape, Ms. Badkhen gives us a glimpse into a life and a world perspective few of us will ever experience first-hand.

Come join Front Street Books in welcoming Anna Bakdhen and partake in her telling of her journeys with the nomads of the African Savannah.

Light refreshments will be served. Books available for pre-order as well as to purchase at the event.
