Out here on the Last Frontier, 80 years is just about an eternity.
And 80 years is how long the C.G. Morrison Company has been serving the needs of Big Bend residents.
The company, owned and operated by Bob and Lucy Ward, in photo at right, is celebrating its birthday in a big, big way this week. The biggest extravaganza will take place all day Saturday at the store.
Saturday, employees will dress in period costumes. And there will be a cake cutting at 10 a.m.
To help our readers understand just what those 80 years have meant, the Avalanche today is publishing two special pages that contain a brief history and timeline of the Morrison era.
