Sul Ross graduation

Sul Ross State University will award degrees to 140 students during fall commencement exercises Saturday in the Pete P. Gallego Center. Dr. Kenneth Craycraft, vice chancellor for academic affairs of the Texas State University System, will deliver the commencement address at 10 a.m.
Dr. Jesus Tafoya, associate professor of Spanish, will be the mace bearer; Dr. Avinash Rangra, professor of chemistry, and Dr. Dale Christophersen, professor of political science, will serve as marshals; and Dr. Justin Badgerow, assistant professor of music, will play the processional.
President R. Vic Morgan will introduce the speaker and confer the degrees. Dr. David Cockrum, provost, will announce recognitions and honors.
Later Saturday, at the Rio Grande College exercises, Craycraft will address the 87 degree candidates and guests at 7:30 p.m. in the Uvalde High School auditorium.
